Registered Agent Renewals, Subscription Billing & Service Continuity
REGISTERED AGENT SUBSCRIPTION
Is SCILLAN Registered Agent service a subscription?
Yes.
SCILLAN's Texas Registered Agent + Compliance Alerts service is an annual recurring service.
Current standard price:
$179 per year, per entity
Does each entity have its own subscription?
Yes.
Each legal entity requires its own registered agent subscription.
A customer with multiple entities may therefore have multiple subscriptions.
Can one subscription cover multiple entities?
No.
Each separate legal entity must have its own registered agent service record and subscription.
ANNUAL RENEWAL
How much is annual renewal?
SCILLAN's current standard Registered Agent + Compliance Alerts price is:
$179 per year, per entity
The applicable renewal rate is subject to the current service terms and pricing in effect at the time of renewal.
Does registered agent service renew every year?
Registered agent service is provided on an annual basis and may renew according to the applicable subscription terms.
Sia should not invent a specific renewal date if it is not verified.
How do I know when my subscription renews?
Customers should review:
- Their Client Portal
- Subscription information
- Billing records
- Renewal notices
- Account communications
If the renewal date cannot be located, contact:
support@scillan.com
Can Sia tell me my exact renewal date?
Only if the date is available through an approved connected system.
Otherwise:
"I don't want to give you inaccurate account information. Please check your Client Portal or contact SCILLAN Support at for your exact renewal date."
AUTOMATIC RENEWAL
Will my registered agent subscription renew automatically?
Where the customer's subscription is enrolled in recurring billing, renewal may be processed automatically according to the applicable subscription terms.
Customers should review the billing information shown during enrollment and within their account.
Will Sia promise that every subscription auto-renews?
No.
Sia should use verified account or subscription information.
What if I do not want automatic renewal?
Customers should review the available subscription-management options or contact SCILLAN Support before the next renewal.
Support:
support@scillan.com
RENEWAL NOTICES
Will SCILLAN remind me before renewal?
SCILLAN may provide subscription or billing notifications according to the current account and payment system.
Sia should not promise a specific number of days' advance notice unless that schedule is approved and documented.
Are renewal notices the same as Compliance Alerts?
No.
They are separate.
Renewal notices relate to the customer's SCILLAN subscription.
Compliance Alerts relate to applicable entity compliance deadlines.
PAYMENT METHODS
How do I pay for my registered agent renewal?
Customers should use the approved SCILLAN billing or payment system.
Payment methods available at checkout or in the customer account may vary.
Can I pay Sia directly?
No.
Sia should not collect payment-card information through chat.
Can I send my card number by email?
No.
Customers should use the approved secure billing system.
UPDATING PAYMENT INFORMATION
My card is expiring. What should I do?
Customers should update their payment method through the approved secure billing or account system before renewal.
If assistance is needed:
support@scillan.com
Can Sia update my card?
No.
Sia should never request full card details.
Can Support take my full card number in chat?
Customers should not provide full card information through chat.
FAILED RENEWAL PAYMENTS
What happens if my renewal payment fails?
A failed payment may require the customer to update or replace the payment method.
The subscription status should be reviewed promptly.
Does a failed payment immediately mean SCILLAN is no longer my registered agent?
Sia should not make that assumption.
The exact service status depends on the subscription, applicable notices, and account status.
Approved response:
"A failed payment may affect your subscription, but I don't want to give you inaccurate information about your registered agent status. Please update your payment information and contact so the account can be reviewed."
What if my bank declined the charge?
Customers may:
- Verify the billing information
- Contact their financial institution
- Update the payment method
- Contact SCILLAN Support if the issue continues
EXPIRED OR INVALID PAYMENT METHOD
What happens if the card on file has expired?
The renewal charge may fail.
Customers should update the payment method as soon as possible.
Will SCILLAN retry the payment?
Payment retry behavior depends on the current billing system and subscription settings.
Sia should not invent a retry schedule.
CANCELING BEFORE RENEWAL
Can I cancel before my registered agent service renews?
Customers may request cancellation according to the applicable subscription terms.
If cancellation is needed, the request should be made before the upcoming renewal where possible.
How do I request cancellation?
Use the available account option or contact:
support@scillan.com
Provide:
- Name
- Legal entity name
- Account email
- Subscription or order reference if available
CANCELING REGISTERED AGENT SERVICE
Does canceling SCILLAN mean my business no longer needs a registered agent?
No.
If the entity is required to maintain a registered agent, canceling SCILLAN does not eliminate that requirement.
What should I do before canceling?
The customer should arrange for a replacement registered agent where required and complete any necessary government filing.
Can I simply stop paying instead of filing a Change of Registered Agent?
Customers should not rely on nonpayment as a substitute for changing the registered agent.
A government filing may still be required.
Can Sia tell me exactly when SCILLAN stops being my registered agent?
Only if the effective termination date is verified.
Otherwise, escalate to SCILLAN Support.
CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT REGISTERED AGENT
I want to move to another registered agent. What do I need to do?
The customer may need to:
- Select the replacement registered agent.
- Obtain any required consent.
- Complete the applicable Change of Registered Agent filing.
- Confirm the effective change.
- Address the SCILLAN subscription according to applicable cancellation terms.
Sia should not provide legal advice about disputed or unusual circumstances.
RETURNING TO SCILLAN
I canceled before. Can I sign up again?
Yes, subject to SCILLAN's current service availability and enrollment requirements.
Current standard price:
$179/year per entity
Applicable government fees may apply if a Change of Registered Agent filing is required.
MULTIPLE ENTITIES AND RENEWALS
Do all my entities renew at the same time?
Not necessarily.
Renewal dates may depend on when each entity was enrolled.
Can SCILLAN combine all my renewal dates?
Possibly, depending on billing and subscription capabilities.
Sia should not promise consolidated renewals unless confirmed.
Why did I receive several renewal charges?
Each entity has its own registered agent subscription.
Multiple covered entities may result in multiple renewal charges.
PROMOTIONAL FREE YEAR
What happens after the Expo free year ends?
After the promotional period, the service may renew at SCILLAN's then-current standard annual rate under the applicable subscription terms.
Current standard rate:
$179/year per entity
Does the promotional year renew for free?
No, unless the applicable promotion expressly states otherwise.
Can Sia extend the free promotional year?
No.
PRICE CHANGES
Can the Registered Agent renewal price change?
SCILLAN's pricing may change in the future.
Sia should quote the approved current rate.
Current rate:
$179/year per entity
What if my old invoice shows a different price?
Historical pricing may differ from current pricing.
Sia should not assume an old price remains valid.
Approved response:
"SCILLAN's current standard Registered Agent + Compliance Alerts price is $179 per year, per entity. If you have questions about a prior or upcoming renewal rate, please contact support."
DUPLICATE RENEWAL CHARGES
I was charged twice for renewal.
This should be escalated to billing review.
Approved response:
"Please contact SCILLAN Support so the billing history can be reviewed. Do not send your full credit card number through chat."
UNRECOGNIZED RENEWAL CHARGE
I don't recognize the $179 charge.
The charge may be related to a Registered Agent + Compliance Alerts subscription, but Sia should not assume.
Approved response:
"SCILLAN's current Registered Agent + Compliance Alerts rate is $179 per year, per entity. If you do not recognize the charge, please contact support so the transaction can be reviewed."
REFUNDS AFTER RENEWAL
Can I get a refund after the annual renewal charge?
Refund eligibility depends on the applicable subscription terms, order status, service activity, and other circumstances.
Sia should never automatically promise a refund.
What if I forgot to cancel?
Direct the customer to SCILLAN Support for review.
SERVICE CONTINUITY
Why is continuous registered agent coverage important?
Entities that are required to maintain a registered agent should avoid gaps in registered agent coverage.
Sia may explain this generally but should not give legal conclusions about specific consequences.
Does SCILLAN guarantee continuous service even if payment fails?
No blanket guarantee should be made.
Customers should maintain current billing information and respond promptly to subscription notices.
CONTACT INFORMATION
Does my email need to stay current during renewal?
Yes.
Customers should maintain a current and monitored email address for:
- Billing notices
- Registered agent notifications
- Compliance alerts
- Service communications
- Account updates

Pending Renewal
The subscription is approaching or undergoing its renewal process.
Use only when verified.
Payment Failed
A renewal or subscription payment did not process successfully.
Canceled

IMPORTANT DISTINCTION
Is canceling the subscription the same as changing the registered agent with the State?
No.
These are separate actions.
A billing cancellation does not necessarily change the registered agent shown in government records.
