Are government fees included in SCILLAN's service prices?

Unless a service specifically states otherwise, government fees are separate from SCILLAN's service fee.
Examples of separate government charges may include:

• Texas Secretary of State filing fees
• County filing fees
• Certification fees
• Copy fees
• Texas Express expedited-processing fees
• Other agency charges

Why am I paying both SCILLAN and the government?

SCILLAN's service fee pays for SCILLAN's administrative work, which may include:

• Intake review
• Document preparation
• Filing coordination
• Submission support
• Status tracking
• Client communication
• Document delivery
• Compliance support

Government fees are charged by the applicable government agency for the filing, document, certification, or processing request.

Will I see the total before I pay?

Applicable service charges and government fees should be displayed during checkout before the order is completed.
If a fee appears incorrect, the customer should contact SCILLAN before completing payment.

Does SCILLAN charge a credit-card convenience fee?

SCILLAN does not separately add its own card convenience fee under the current website pricing structure.
The State's applicable credit-card fee is included within SCILLAN's website pricing structure for the government fees.
If checkout displays a fee that appears incorrect, the customer should contact SCILLAN before completing the purchase.

What is the State credit-card fee?

When an applicable government filing is paid by credit card, the government may impose a payment-processing charge.
SCILLAN's website pricing structure incorporates the applicable State credit-card fee into the government-fee amount presented to the customer.
Sia should not invent or separately calculate the State credit-card fee unless an approved current amount is maintained in the knowledge base.

Does SCILLAN add a 2.7% card convenience fee?

No.
SCILLAN's prior separate 2.7% Card Convenience Fee is not part of the current website pricing structure.
The applicable State credit-card fee is incorporated into the government-fee pricing where relevant.

Are Texas Express fees included in the normal filing fee?

No.
Texas Express expedited-processing fees are additional government fees.
For eligible Texas Secretary of State business filings, current Texas Express options may include:

Does expedited processing guarantee approval?

No.
Expedited processing may accelerate government review, but it does not guarantee acceptance or approval.

Can one registered agent subscription cover several companies?

No.
Registered Agent + Compliance Alerts is priced per legal entity.
Each separate company requires its own registered agent subscription.

Can I purchase services for several entities at once?

Yes, where supported by the website or applicable service process.
Each entity must be separately identified so services, subscriptions, documents, and records are associated with the correct legal entity.

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND RECURRING BILLING

Which SCILLAN services are recurring?

Registered Agent + Compliance Alerts is an annual recurring service.
Other services may be one-time unless specifically described as recurring.

Will my registered agent service renew automatically?

Registered agent service is an annual recurring subscription.
Applicable renewal terms and billing information are provided during enrollment or within the customer's service documentation.

When will I be charged for renewal?

The customer's applicable subscription terms should control the renewal billing date.
Sia should not invent a renewal date if it is not shown in the customer's account or approved knowledge base.

Can I cancel automatic renewal?

Customers should use the applicable account, subscription, or support process to request cancellation.
Cancellation terms may depend on the timing of the request and the current service period.

Does canceling payment remove my registered agent requirement?

No.
If the entity is legally required to maintain a registered agent, canceling SCILLAN service does not eliminate that requirement.
The customer is responsible for arranging a replacement registered agent where applicable.

PAYMENT QUESTIONS

What payment methods does SCILLAN accept?

Customers should use the payment options made available through the SCILLAN website checkout.
Sia should not promise a payment method that is not currently displayed or approved.

Is my payment processed securely?

SCILLAN uses approved payment-processing systems for online transactions.
Customers should never send full payment-card information through the chatbot, email, or other unsecured communication methods.

Can I send my credit card number through chat?

No.
Customers should never provide:

• Full credit card numbers
• CVV codes
• Banking credentials
• Passwords
• Other payment credentials

through the chatbot.

Can SCILLAN invoice me?

Availability of invoicing depends on the service and customer arrangement.
If invoicing is not clearly available in the approved service process, Sia should direct the customer to SCILLAN Support.

Can I pay later?

Payment requirements depend on the service.
In general, processing does not begin until required payment has been received unless a separate approved arrangement exists.

When does SCILLAN processing begin?

Processing begins after SCILLAN receives all required:

• Information
• Documents
• Signatures
• Verification
• Authorization
• Payment

FAILED OR DUPLICATE PAYMENTS

My payment failed. What should I do?

The customer should verify the payment information entered and try again if appropriate.
If the issue continues, contact SCILLAN Support.

I was charged twice. What should I do?

Duplicate-charge questions should be escalated for billing review.
Approved response:
"I can help direct this to the SCILLAN team for billing review. Please provide your name, company name, and the email address associated with the order, or email . Do not send your full credit card number through chat."

The matter should be escalated to SCILLAN Support.

Can Sia look up my credit card details?

No.
Sia should never request, display, or process full payment-card credentials.

REFUNDS

Does SCILLAN offer refunds?

Refund eligibility depends on:

• The service purchased
• Order status
• Work already performed
• Whether a government filing has been submitted
• Government fees already paid
• Documents already prepared
• SCILLAN's applicable refund terms

Sia should not automatically promise a refund.

Can government filing fees be refunded?

Government fees may become nonrefundable once paid or submitted to the applicable agency.
The exact treatment depends on the government agency and order status.
Sia should not promise that a government fee can be refunded.

Can I receive a refund if I change my mind?

Possibly, depending on whether work has started and whether government fees have been paid.
The customer should contact SCILLAN Support as soon as possible.

Can I get a refund if my filing is rejected?

Refund eligibility depends on the reason for the rejection, work already performed, government fees paid, and SCILLAN's applicable refund terms.
A government rejection does not automatically mean the service fee is refundable.

Can I get a refund if the government takes too long?

Government processing times are outside SCILLAN's control.
A slower government processing time does not automatically create refund eligibility.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

Can I cancel my order?

Cancellation availability depends on the service and order status.
Customers should contact SCILLAN Support as soon as possible.

What if SCILLAN has already started working on my order?

Refund or cancellation eligibility may be affected if:

• Document preparation has begun
• Research or review has been completed
• A filing has been submitted
• Government fees have been paid
• A document has been ordered
• A service has already been activated

Can I cancel after a filing has been submitted?

A government filing may not be capable of being canceled after submission.
The SCILLAN team should review the request.

EXPO REGISTERED AGENT PROMOTION

What is the free registered agent Expo offer?

Eligible attendees of a participating SCILLAN expo event may receive:
One year of SCILLAN Registered Agent service free
when switching their eligible Texas registered agent to SCILLAN under the applicable promotional terms.

How long do I have to redeem the Expo offer?

Eligible participants have:
48 hours following the applicable expo event
to sign up for a Change of Registered Agent.

What if I need the promotional code?

SCILLAN may verify eligibility before issuing or confirming the code.

Are government fees included in the free Expo offer?

No, unless the specific promotion expressly states otherwise.
The promotion applies to the eligible SCILLAN registered agent service fee.
Applicable Change of Registered Agent government fees remain separate.

Does the free service automatically renew?

After the promotional term, registered agent service may renew under SCILLAN's standard annual pricing and applicable subscription terms unless canceled according to those terms.

PRICING ACCURACY RULE

Sia should only quote prices that are contained in the approved SCILLAN knowledge base.
If a customer asks about a service that does not have an approved price, respond:
"Pricing for that request may depend on the service details. Please contact SCILLAN Support at for assistance."

What if the website price and Sia's answer are different?

The current website checkout price should be treated as the active transaction price unless SCILLAN confirms otherwise.
Approved response:
"If you see a pricing difference between the website and this information, please contact SCILLAN Support before completing your order so the current pricing can be confirmed."

GOVERNMENT FEE RULE

Sia must never invent a government filing fee.
If a current approved government fee is not available in the knowledge base, respond:
"Applicable government filing fees are separate from SCILLAN's service fee and will be identified during the ordering process."
