REGISTERED AGENT NOTIFICATIONS

How will SCILLAN notify me if an official document is received?

SCILLAN's standard Registered Agent notification method is:

Applicable documents may also be made available through the approved Client Portal or secure document-delivery system.

Does SCILLAN send SMS Registered Agent notifications?

No.
SCILLAN's standard Registered Agent notifications are email-based.

Can I request text-message notifications instead?

SMS is not part of SCILLAN's standard Registered Agent notification service.

COMPLIANCE ALERTS

How are Compliance Alerts sent?

SCILLAN's Compliance Alerts are primarily sent by email.
The current reminder schedule may include:

  • 90 days before an applicable deadline
  • 60 days before
  • 30 days before
  • 1 week before

Does a Compliance Alert mean SCILLAN has completed the filing?

No.
A Compliance Alert is a reminder, not a completed filing.

What communications might I receive after placing an order?

Depending on the service, SCILLAN may send communications regarding:

ACCOUNT EMAIL

Which email address does SCILLAN use?

SCILLAN generally uses the email address associated with the customer's account, entity, or service record.
Customers are responsible for keeping this information current.

Can I use one email address for several entities?

Yes, where supported.
The same authorized contact may be associated with multiple legal entities.
Each entity should still be maintained as a separate record.

CHANGING AN EMAIL ADDRESS

Can I change my account email?

Possibly.
Account email changes may require verification.
If the option is not available through the Client Portal, contact:

Can Sia change my email address?

Only if an approved account-management workflow specifically allows verified changes.
Otherwise, Sia should escalate the request.

MISSING EMAILS

I did not receive an email from SCILLAN.

Customers should check:

  • Inbox
  • Spam
  • Junk
  • Promotions
  • Other filtered folders

They should also confirm that SCILLAN has the correct email address.

Should I whitelist SCILLAN emails?

Customers may add SCILLAN's email addresses to their trusted sender or safe-sender list where appropriate.

SPAM AND JUNK FILTERS

What if SCILLAN emails keep going to spam?

What is an authorized contact?

An authorized contact is someone SCILLAN is permitted to communicate with regarding an applicable client account, legal entity, or service.

Does an authorized contact have to be an owner?

Not necessarily.
Ownership and authorized-contact status are separate.

Can I add my employee, assistant, or business partner as a contact?

Possibly, where authorized and supported by the account system.
SCILLAN may require verification before changing account access or contact permissions.

CHANGING AUTHORIZED CONTACTS

How do I remove or replace a contact?

Contact SCILLAN Support if the change cannot be made through the Client Portal.
If access or authority is disputed, Sia should not make the change automatically.

PHONE COMMUNICATION

Does SCILLAN communicate by phone?

Phone availability may depend on the current support setup.
Sia should not promise routine phone support or immediate callbacks unless confirmed.

Can I request a callback?

Where supported, Sia may collect:

  • Name
  • Legal entity name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • General reason for the call

Sia should not promise a specific callback time unless an approved SLA exists.

GOVERNMENT NOTICE COMMUNICATION

Will SCILLAN email me every time a government agency contacts my business?

Not necessarily.
Not every government notice is sent to the Registered Agent.
Customers should also monitor communications sent directly to their:

  • Business address
  • Mailing address
  • Tax address
  • Government account
  • Other official contact information

BILLING COMMUNICATIONS

Will SCILLAN email me about billing?

SCILLAN may send applicable:

  • Subscription notices

according to the current billing system.

Does SCILLAN guarantee a specific number of renewal reminders?

No.
Sia should not invent a renewal-notice schedule.

Will the Client Portal notify me when something changes?

Sia should not promise a specific portal-notification feature unless verified.

PROMOTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS

Will SCILLAN send marketing emails?

Sia should not make privacy or marketing-consent promises beyond SCILLAN's approved policy.

Can I opt out of marketing emails?

MARKETING EMAIL VS. SERVICE EMAIL

What's the difference?

Marketing email:
Promotional, educational, or sales-related communication.
Service email:
Communication related to an active order, subscription, filing, account, compliance alert, legal notice, billing issue, or support request.
Customers may still need to receive important service communications even if they opt out of marketing.

CHANGE OF CONTACT AFTER FORMATION

If I change my email with SCILLAN, does it update the State?

No.
Changing a SCILLAN account email does not automatically change government records.

Does it update the IRS?

No.

Does it update the Texas Comptroller?

No.
Separate government records may require separate updates.

If SCILLAN sends an email, does that mean the customer read it?

OUTDATED EMAIL ADDRESS

What if an old email is still on my account?

Contact SCILLAN Support as soon as possible.
Outdated contact information may interfere with important notices.

EMPLOYEE DEPARTURE

My employee who handled SCILLAN emails left the company.

Update the account contact information immediately.

URGENT COMMUNICATIONS

What if my message involves an urgent filing deadline?

SCILLAN cannot guarantee same-day government processing.

What if I received court papers?
